HALCO® Mushroom Hook
HALCO® Mushroom Hook is a high-strength, low-cycle fastener with polypropylene mushroom-style hooks woven into a nylon base. The mushroom hook geometry delivers industrial-grade peel and shear strength well beyond what textile or standard molded hooks can achieve — with the tradeoff of limited cycle life.
Unlike semi-rigid plastic-backed reclosable fasteners such as 3M™ Dual Lock™, HALCO® Mushroom Hook is a conformable textile product that can be sewn directly to fabrics or laminated with pressure sensitive adhesives — making it suitable for soft goods, upholstery, covers, and other textile-based applications where a rigid plastic fastener would not work.
Best suited to semi-permanent attachment applications: loading dock bumper covers, canopy and shelter closures, insulation panel retention, vehicle interior covers, display installations, and industrial equipment covers where the fastener opens and closes infrequently but must hold reliably under load when engaged.

Product Technical Data
HALCO® Mushroom Hook is available in 1/2″ to 4″ widths on 50-yard and 100-yard rolls, slittable to custom widths. Die-cut shapes and cut lengths available. Available plain back for sew-on applications or laminated with pressure sensitive adhesives from 3M and other suppliers.
Engagement performance depends on the paired loop. Pair with HALCO® Woven Nylon Loop for maximum engagement at 21.38 lb/in peel and 76.22 lb/in² shear — the highest shear strength in the Halco product line. Pair with HALCO® Knit Nylon Loop for a lower-profile engagement at 5.51 lb/in peel and 37.96 lb/in² shear.
